Year 1

During our first year, 3-5 locations in Baltimore County will be participating in, "Rain, Rain, Come our Way!" This projects intent is to access data from various locations in order to expand students' understanding of weather and geography. Throughout this project, students will measure, collect, analyze, and graph data while utilizing their scientific skills of observations. Students will collect data daily within assigned groups and submit their data using GoogleDocs weekly. At the end of a four week period, students will use data collected from the county to graph it using their choice of graph. Students will also use epals to connect with classmates from other schools to discuss the data and their findings!

Year 2

Calling all S.T.A.T teachers! It is YOUR job to get your school involved! At the start of the next school year, we will be using Twitter to connect to S.T.A.T teachers in Baltimore County. Use the Twitter handle #RainRainComeOurWay to spread the word. The more schools involved, the more data we can collect! Why stop at Baltimore County? If you know teachers from different areas, invite them to join us! As we expand to different locations, discussions on geography can be enriched and become very meaningful for students involved!
